The idea of creating social and entrepreneurial corporations in Kazakhstan belongs to the First President of the country. By analogy with developed countries, companies have been created that have combined a number of state assets and are designed to develop local business initiatives.
Joint Stock Company “National Company “Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation “Zhetisu” was established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 20, 2007 No. 320. In November 2018, the Joint-Stock Company “National Company “Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation “Zhetisu” was renamed into the Joint-Stock Company “Regional Development Institute “Socio-Entrepreneurial Corporation “Zhetisu”.
The sole shareholder of the SEC “Zhetisu” is the Akimat of the Almaty region.
The founder of JSC “RIR “SEC “Zhetisu” is the Akimat of the Almaty region represented by the State Institution “Management of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development of the Almaty region”.
The main principles of the Corporation’s activity are efficiency, competitiveness, investment attractiveness, balanced observance of the interests of shareholders and partners.
