In the Almaty region, by 2025, it is planned to increase the production of sugar beet to 2 million tons by increasing the area to 53 thousand hectares. In addition, it is planned to continue the modernization of the Koksu and Aksu sugar factories, as a result of which their total processing capacity will amount to 1 million 100 thousand tons. This became known during the briefing of the Akim of the Almaty region at the site of the CCS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan.
As it became known during the briefing, crops were brought to 972 thousand hectares, including the area of sugar beet exceeded 16 thousand, corn – 95 thousand, potatoes – 40 thousand hectares.
“We set a large-scale task to increase sugar beet production to 2 million tons by 2025 by increasing the area to 53 thousand hectares. To do this, it is planned to continue the modernization of the Koksu and Aksu sugar factories, as a result of which their total processing capacity will amount to 1 million 100 thousand tons,” Akim of Almaty region Amandyk Batalov said.
By the way, in order to increase the incomes of villagers and ensure food security in the region, measures are being taken to develop the agro-industrial complex as a whole. Over 50 billion tenge has been allocated for these purposes, including 43 billion tenge – subsidies. 15 thousand farms of agricultural producers are covered.
