In the Almaty region, the export of processed agricultural products increased by 25%, amounting to 97 million US dollars or 73% of the total exports of agriculture. This became known today during a briefing by the Akim of the Almaty region at the CCS site under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan.
As it became known during the briefing, the number of livestock and poultry increased by an average of 2% compared to last year. The region is fully provided with fodder for the wintering of livestock, 5.3 million tons have been harvested. At the same time, 54 wagons of hay were sent to the affected farmers of the Mangystau region in the form of humanitarian aid.
“Today in Almaty region there are only 117 fattening sites for over 74 thousand heads and 84 dairy farms for over 26 thousand heads. Due to this, the workload of meat processing enterprises reached 72%, dairy plants – 85%. Exports of processed agricultural products increased by 25%, amounting to 97 million dollars or 73% of the total exports of agriculture. By the end of the year, the volume of gross agricultural output will exceed 1 trillion tenge for the first time,” Governor of the region Amandyk Batalov said.
By the way, in order to curb prices for socially important food products, a set of anti-inflationary response measures for 2021-2024 is being implemented in the region. For the formation of a stable fund and preferential lending, an additional 1.7 billion tenge was allocated from the local budget, the total amount is 3.7 billion tenge. Of these, 3 billion tenge was allocated for concessional lending to business entities at a rate of 0.01% and 700 million tenge for the purchase of 8,7 thousand tons of products.
